The investment includes $788 million to prepare its Flint Assembly plant to assemble next-generation heavy-duty gas and diesel trucks. Another $233 million will be invested in the automaker’s Flint Metal Center to support production of the vehicles…”

What’s the matter GM? Don’t like supply chain issues? Maybe next time there’s a pandemic you shouldn’t lock down everything in site. You see stupidity can only exist for so long. Nature and the laws of the universe has its ways of dealing with stupidity. Who would have thought shutting large parts of your company down would be bad for business.

In any case production is coming back to America. Why? It’s not because these companies like America or it’s better for their bottom line. It’s because they will be replaced. It’s very simple. If the supply chain stays broken in America then Americans will fix it. This is not rocket science. When it is fixed these mega companies will lose market share. In other words GM has acquired some self preservation skills.
