See the bold? This is not going to happen because NIntendo knows a market crash is coming. It’s a stupid business decision to spend millions / billions on R&D for a console to fail. Launching a new console during a financial collapse is a disaster waiting to happen. That would be a very very stupid thing to do. The console would be dead on arrival and the company would lose an ungodly amount of money trying to salvage it.
Nintendo’s best option is to wait and profit off its old yet cheap console. Nintendo profited off gamecube and it was considered a failure. It only sold 22 million. They know what they’re doing.
