One thing that sticks out: About half of the lowest-ranked cities are in California. And those areas almost entirely make up the bottom five affordability rankings…”

People are moving out of big cities. The property value is going to go down over time if the trend continues. It’s not a good idea to buy a home in a big city to begin with in my opinion.
