Why I’m So Pessimistic About Real Estate

The first time I starting talking about a real estate crash on this website was in 2022. Seems like a long time ago. Guess what? The value of homes has decreased in value on average when adjusted for inflation since then. Don’t believe me you can look and check the charts for yourself here:

This is on average so there are exceptions to the rule but generally speaking if you bought a house in the past five years you’re losing money. This is just proof of what I’ve been saying. Real estate is not the place to make money, in my opinion, until the crash or major pull back happens. I’ve even gave dates and examples [fall 2026 for commercial real estate in New York] a very long time ago for potential collapse triggers.

This stuff is not hard to predict and I’m not a genius. (at least I don’t think I am) All anyone has to do is read the news. They’ll see what I’m seeing.
